JAMES CONOVER

I am a passionate person. I think that is why I like film so much. We get to create wonderful tales filled with the most passionate moments humans can take part in. My role in this endeavor, and possibly your production, is to be passionate about sound. I enjoy my role. I love to help bring stories to life. Being part of the team, propping up your dream, until it is an actual vivid cinematic reality. Wonderful stuff.

 

I take my job seriously. I prefer time with the script well before production so that I can get it’s feel scene by scene, think of things to trouble shoot, make a list of extra sounds to gather, and essentially memorize the lines so that my booming is as it should be. I also love to join on location scouts, and figuring out wardrobe to help our sound be the best it can be before the rush of production days begin. I am a passionate person who enjoys his job, and it shows on set. I am a serious, but jovial soul, who really would always prefer to be smiling and working collaboratively. No one needs more problems. I am here to help you solve your sound ones, and to do my part to foster crew morale.
